SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of encoding/decoding images using a conversion kernel. Proposed is a method for decoding images, including the following stages: determining the prediction mode of the current block based on the current block prediction mode information obtained from the bit stream; obtaining a conversion coefficient block of the current block from the bit stream; dequantising the conversion coefficient to form a dequantised conversion coefficient block; determining the conversion kernel for the dequantised conversion coefficient block; and forming a residual block for the current block through an inverse conversion with respect to the dequantised conversion coefficient block using the conversion kernel, wherein the prediction mode of the current block is the intrablock copy mode (IBC).
