FIELD: structural elements of rolling stock bodies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to structural elements of bodies of railway vehicles, in particular to sealing elements, and can be used for sealing of hatches of railway cars. Sealing element for sealing railway cars hatches comprises elastic profile (1), made in the form of a monolithic three-dimensional geometric body, formed in the form of a complex geometric figure forming a profile section, total area of which consists of a set of areas of one isosceles triangle (3) with apex (4) in the lower part of said complex geometrical figure and two mutually perpendicular rectangles (5, 6) forming horizontal and vertical projections respectively. Ends of the sealing element are closed to each other to form a circumference or ellipse, the length of which is 2.8 m. Elastic profile is made of rubber or neoprene, or polyvinyl chloride, or thermoplastic elastomer.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of sealing of railway cars hatches, increases service life of sealing element, reduces time for mounting/dismantling of sealing element, provides saving of material during production of sealing element.
