FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing catalysts for polymerisation of ethylene with phenoxyimine ligands. Disclosed is a method of producing an ethylene polymerisation catalyst based on a phenoxyimine titanium complex by reacting titanium chloride with phenoxyimine ligands containing fluorinated and non-fluorinated aromatic substitutes, characterized by that the solvent used is methylene chloride, in which titanium tetrachloride and phenoxyimine ligands are preliminarily dissolved separately, wherein a solution of n-butyllithium in hexanes is added to the cooled solution of the ligand, after which the mixture is cooled and a solution of titanium tetrachloride is added thereto at a temperature of not lower than -20 °C, the obtained mixture is heated to 25 °C, mixed, dried, obtaining a catalyst of general formula 1, where substituent R is hydrogen or alkyl fragments, substitutes R1 and R2 are hydrogen or methyl groups, substituent Ar is an aromatic ring which may contain alkyl substitutes, substitute An is a polyfluorophenyl moiety containing from 1 to 5 fluorine atoms in an aromatic ring, 4-allyloxyphenyl moiety, or an aromatic moiety which does not contain substitutes capable of reacting with organolithium compounds.
EFFECT: creation of a convenient, processable method of producing ethylene polymerisation catalysts of general formula 1.
