FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: computer-controlled automated sampling system, and corresponding methods of collecting, processing and analyzing agricultural samples for the presence of various chemical properties, such as nutrients available to plants. System includes a sample preparation subsystem which receives soil samples collected by the sample collection subsystem and produces a suspension (for example, a mixture of soil, vegetation and/or organic fertilizers and water) and a chemical analysis subsystem which processes the prepared suspension samples for quantitative evaluation of several analytes and/or chemical properties of the sample. Preparation system may contain a suspension recirculation loop connected to devices intended for mixing, measuring and adjusting the ratio of water and solid substances in the suspension.

EFFECT: sampling system enables to process and analyze a plurality of samples for different analytes or chemical properties in a simultaneous parallel or partially parallel mode; preferably, the system can process soil samples "as they are collected" without drying and grinding.
