FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for non-destructive detection and classification of size of diamonds in a solid piece of diamond-bearing rock on a conveyor. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the method of dual energies (MDE) is used when compiling and further comparing reference and measured tomograms.
EFFECT: enabling increase in the probability of detecting diamonds, as well as enabling determination of the size of the detected diamonds.
