FIELD: railway automation and telemechanics.

SUBSTANCE: control method of signal readings of a locomotive traffic light consists in the fact that a serial numerical code is converted into a parallel one. In the presence of alternation of pulses and pauses with a period corresponding to a code combination with one pulse and one pause, a signal "receiving code combinations" is generated. At the current prohibiting signal reading of the locomotive traffic light, the deceleration value for making a decision is formed equal to the nominal value. At the current signal reading of the locomotive traffic light, which corresponds to the absence of numerical code signals, the deceleration value for making a decision is formed equal to not less than 15 s and not more than 20 s. At the same time, with the current signal reading of the locomotive traffic light, which corresponds to orders on maximum allowable and warning speed, or orders on maximum allowable speed and reduced warning speed, or orders on reduced allowable speed and zero warning speed, decision-making delay is formed equal to the nominal one.

EFFECT: reduced number of failures in operation of locomotive equipment.
