METHOD FOR DETERMINING VARIABILITY OF TIME PARAMETERS OF ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHIC SIGNAL Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B5/352

Abstract RU 2827482 C1

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for determining heart rate variability and other amplitude and time variability (changeability) of the electrocardiographic signal when determining the state of the heart by electrocardiography. Performing time discrimination of RR-interval duration measurement results array, consisting in counting the number of measurement results of the duration of the RR-interval, falling into each of the n channels of time discrimination, and amplitude discrimination of the signal by determining whether the instantaneous value of the signal belongs to one of m subranges and measuring the duration of the time interval of the signal level in each of the m subranges of amplitude discrimination and determining, based on the discrimination results, the "arithmetic mean of RR-interval durations" and "mean-square deviation of RR-interval durations", "average heart rate", "standard deviation of heart rate" and variability indicators "arithmetic average of the array of durations of the time interval of the level of the electrocardiographic signal in the amplitude discrimination subrange" and "root-mean-square deviation of the array of durations of the time interval of finding the level of the electrocardiographic signal in the amplitude discrimination sub-range".

EFFECT: method for determining variability of an electrocardiographic signal can be used in medical practice when examining a patient by an electrocardiographic method, since for its implementation it is possible to use existing electrocardiographs, and provides a wider set of electrocardiographic signal variability indicators by adding to the variability values of the amplitude variability values and reducing the time period required to visualize the signal variability in order to diagnose the state of the heart.
