FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to medicine and is intended for examination of variability of heart rhythm by means of spectral analysis by method of continuous wavelet transformation. Heart rhythm variability examination is performed with functional tests. Modified wavelet Morlet is used as analysing basic wavelet. Sums of squares of wavelet coefficients W(a,b) in the scale multiplier value range a, corresponding to breathing waves HFWT and slow waves 1 in the order of LF. Function is calculated, according to the value of the current ratio local dysfunctions Ap of the function are registered. Parametres of local dysfunctions AF - of the function are defined in the state of functional rest and in functional tests before and after course of treatment. Changes of adaptation characteristics of the patient are assessed by comparison of these parameters.

EFFECT: suggested method decreases influence of edge effect, makes it possible to evaluate changes of adaptation characteristics of the patient before and after course of treatment, ensure better time-and-frequency focalisation of vegetative dysfunctions.
