FIELD: engine building.

SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine (1) is made with possibility of piston (310) reciprocating in cylinder (110), in which crankcase gases flow from combustion chamber (150) in cylinder (110) into zone outside cylinder (110). Piston (310) is connected to rod (320) made with possibility of back-and-forth movement in linear direction. Engine (1) is made so that crankcase gases flow from combustion chamber (150) through space between rod (320) and element enclosing the rod. Engine (1) comprises gas exchange chamber (400) configured to trap crankcase gases in the space between cylinder (110) and chamber (130) accommodating converter (300) connected to the end of rod (320). Embodiments of the internal combustion engine are also disclosed.

EFFECT: containing combustion products in oil in lubrication chamber.
