FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental equipment, and in particular to technical means of testing autonomous engine starting heaters with built-in thermoelectric generator. Test bench for experimental study of a thermoelectric engine starting heater, comprising a cooling radiator, a fan, an expansion tank, connecting pipelines, fan speed control unit, fuel tank, DC power supply, storage battery, devices for measuring voltage, current and temperature, characterized by that to control the temperature of the liquid heat carrier at the inlet and outlet of the heat exchanger, as well as the temperature of the thermoelectric generator, holes are made in the housing of the device and thermocouples are connected, at that, maintaining the specified temperature of the cooling liquid is carried out by controlling the rotation speed of the fan located behind the radiator, using the fan speed control unit through the heater control unit, and the values of the measured parameters are output to the temperature meter, which shows the temperature of the hot and cold sides of the thermoelectric generator and the temperature of the cooling liquid at the inlet and outlet of the heat exchanger of the heater, wherein current and voltage measuring devices connected directly to outputs of the thermoelectric generator are used to control the characteristics produced by the thermoelectric generator.
EFFECT: possibility of reliable assessment of device operability and determination of coolant temperature range, at which it is possible to perform autonomous operation of engine starting heater with possibility of accumulator battery recharging with low currents.
