SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of treating eye diseases. Method of treating subjects with a clinical diagnosis of moderate to severe blepharitis involves applying to said subjects a composition in an effective amount containing from 0.05% to 1% of pimecrolimus, where the subjects to be treated have moderate to severe blepharitis signs and symptoms, characterized by the presence of eyelid oedema, debris and eye discomfort. Also disclosed is an alternative method of treating blepharitis.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides effective treatment of moderate to severe blepharitis.
