FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for preparation of fire-extinguishing materials immediately before use. Fire extinguishing device contains a sealed cylindrical container, inside which a throttle valve is installed across its cavity with the possibility of its rotation through 90°. Throttle valve lever is brought out through the sealing collar and the hole in the side wall of the container. Mixture of carbon dioxide hydrate with a foaming agent is placed at the bottom of the vessel at pressure of 12.3 bar, wherein the content of the foaming agent is 5–10% of the total volume of the mixture. Ratio of the volume of the mixture of carbon dioxide hydrate with the foaming agent to the volume of water is 5:2. Upper part of the reservoir up to the throttle valve is filled with water at atmospheric pressure and connected to the locking-starting device, in the outlet hole of which the end of the hose is mounted, the other end of which is equipped with a nozzle. End of the lever of the locking-starting device and the end of the throttle valve lever are connected by a tight cable. Locking-starting device comprises housing and sleeve with internal thread for connection with housing and external thread for connection with cylindrical container. In the housing on the side there is an outlet hole, which is connected through an outlet channel changing into an inlet vertical channel to an inlet hole located in the lower part of the bushing. In the inlet vertical channel of the housing there is a rod, the lower end of which is located in the cavity of the bushing and is equipped with a seal and a locking element, below which in the bushing cavity there is a spring. Handle is welded to the upper part of the housing, which is connected to the lever by means of a fastening pin with possibility of action on upper end of rod protruding from inlet vertical channel of housing. Lever and the handle are fixed to each other with a cotter inserted into the hole for the cotter.

EFFECT: creation of a fire extinguishing device using a foam-water mixture and carbon dioxide formed during contact of a carbon dioxide hydrate with water.
