FIELD: energy saving.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for testing piston hydraulic cylinders during their production, checking for compliance with requirements of design and process documentation, as well as determining service life. Hydraulic scheme of test bench for hydraulic cylinders with energy recovery includes: two hydraulic cylinders with different diameters of pistons and close strokes of rods connected to each other; hydraulic pump; discrete two-position hydraulic control valves; safety and booster valves. Hydraulic pump provides working fluid supply to appropriate cavities of hydraulic cylinders. Due to difference in diameters of pistons of hydraulic cylinders there is a force providing movement of their rods. Load is created due to throttling of part of working fluid flow at outlet of hydraulic cylinders at joint movement of their rods. Working fluid displaced from the cavity of one hydraulic cylinder enters the corresponding cavity of the other, thereby reducing the required amount of fluid supplied by the hydraulic pump (recuperation). Amount of recuperation will depend on difference in diameters of hydraulic cylinders pistons, value of working (tested) pressure and required speed of rods.
EFFECT: proposed invention, depending on the parameters of the hydraulic cylinders themselves, enables to reduce the energy required for testing from 30 to 60%; due to throttling of part of working fluid flow, at creation of load, heat release of the entire hydraulic system is reduced and there is no need to use high-power and expensive coolers.
