FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. According to the first embodiment, the shape and position of the pupil is corrected and if there is pupil decentration of not more than 5 mm from the centre, as well as in the absence of defects of the pupillary edge of the iris, but in the presence of its irregular shape, point coagulates are applied on the iris with an underwater diathermocoagulator at distance of 5 mm from the pupillary edge of the iris, after which the operation is completed in accordance with the scope of the optical-reconstructive intervention. According to the second embodiment, the needle gripping the iris defect edges is initiated, forming a loop, forming a knot and tightening it. If observing a small defect of the pupillary edge of the iris measuring not more than 2 by 5 mm, traumatic mydriasis, as well as ovalisation of the pupil, the required number of interrupted sutures is applied to eliminate the defect of the pupillary edge of the iris. Further, point coagulates are applied on the iris with an underwater diathermocoagulator at distance of 5 mm from the pupillary edge of the iris. This allows centring the pupil, after which the operation is completed in accordance with the scope of the optical-reconstructive intervention. According to the embodiment, if the pupil decentration is more than 5 mm, the pupillary edge of the iris is notched in the direction from the decentred pupil to the zone of its required projection in the centre. Then point coagulates are applied on the iris with an underwater diathermocoagulator at the incision points, thereby forming a smooth edge of the pupil and its round shape. Pupil is centred, after which the operation is completed in accordance with the scope of the optical-reconstructive intervention.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables correcting the shape and position of the pupil and simultaneous coagulation of the iris vessels, as well as reducing the risk of developing intraoperative and postoperative complications.
