FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cargo handling devices with suction elements intended for operation in liquid medium, and can be used in scientific, scientific-technical and innovative developments aimed at development of underwater robotic systems and development of continental shelf. Self-propelled underwater transport device with a vacuum gripper comprises a housing with a vacuum chamber communicated with a vacuum source, a vacuum suction cup, a pressure chamber, a water-jet propulsor with a controlled thrust vector, as well as cable-rope for communication with support vessel and transportation of objects under water. On the housing of the self-propelled underwater transport device, at least one video camera and one lamp, hydroacoustic sensors of the hydroacoustic beacon homing system are installed, at least three water-jet propellers with remote-controlled thrust vector are arranged on pressure chamber outer side at angles to device lengthwise axis. Device is equipped with a processor unit for controlling spatial movement of the device, which is controlled along a cable-rope.
EFFECT: full cycle of search and lifting operations under water with possibility of remote, even from under ice, capture of desired underwater object and its underwater towing.
