FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly to modification of non-metallic inclusions in deoxidized steel. Metal is deoxidized with aluminium in form of wire and modified. Aluminium is added in amount of 0.7–0.8 kg/t, modification is carried out with flux-cored wire with complex mixed filler Ba16Ca25Si40 with average mixing of metal melt by blowing with argon through a bottom tuyere in two steps – first with a filler flow rate of 0.29–0.30 kg/t at a melt temperature not lower than 80–100 °C above liquidus temperature of steel, and then, after intermediate blowing of the melt with argon for 10 minutes, again with filler flow rate of 0.13–0.14 kg/t.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase quality of electric steel due to reduction of size and quantity of non-metallic inclusions, providing possibility to control morphology of aluminate inclusions and improvement of their assimilation in slag phase.
