FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, in particular to power plants operating on the basis of converting thermal energy into electrical energy, and can be used to generate electric energy in places remote from stationary power supply networks. Technical result is achieved due to uniform heating of heated sides of thermoelectric generating elements and maintenance of their temperature close to maximum allowable, due to uniform increase of distance between heat equalizing and heated plates of the device. Increase of distance between heat-equalizing and heated plates is performed due to change of shape of bimetallic plates located in slots of heat-equalizing plate. Bimetallic plates together with the U-shaped support brackets set the initial spatial position of the heat equalizing plate relative to the support one. Thermoelectric generator with overheating protection contains thermoelectric generating elements (1), cooled plate (2), fixing screws (3), rods (4), heat equalizing plate (5), bimetallic plates (6), U-shaped support brackets (7), heated plate (8).
EFFECT: increased level of generated power and reliable operation of the device, as well as reduced requirements for accuracy of spatial orientation of the device.
