FIELD: thermoelectric generators.

SUBSTANCE: method is based on the Peltier effect, and can be used when generating power in autonomous conditions. The thermoelectric generator protection device against overheating comprises a thermomechanical actuator separating a heated plate in contact with a heat source and a heat-leveling plate with a battery of thermoelectric modules attached to it. The thermomechanical actuator is made in the form of a capsule with a solid hydrocarbon filler installed on a heat-leveling plate, equipped with a retractable rod passing through the stuffing box and abutting against the heated plate. The device is also equipped with a return spring installed with the possibility of bringing the two plates together.

EFFECT: increasing the stability of the response temperature and increasing the force developed.
