FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to devices for moving patients onto ward couches, tables and other surfaces for placing patients in medical diagnostic and therapeutic installations for the purpose of various medical procedures, as well as any other recumbent surfaces (decks), adapted, in particular, for the radiation therapy procedure or preparation for it. Patient movement device includes a flat shaped element for placement and fixation of a patient on its surface and an inflatable balloon made from a sliding material fixed under it, equipped with an air intake for injecting air into an overpressure cavity limited by the inner surface of the inflatable balloon, as well as a plurality of air outlet holes made on the lower side of the inflatable balloon, providing the creation of an "air cushion" effect. Inflatable balloon is made with an internal filler from a porous elastic material having an open cellular structure.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the horizontal position of the flat profile element of the device for moving the patient when creating the "air cushion" effect (nozzle type), absence of blocking of air flow inside the device without additional profiling of the flat part of the device, as well as reduced friction during sliding of the device when the patient moves to the external recumbent surface.
