FIELD: thermometry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermometry and can be used in the study of heat transfer, the measurement of intense radiation fluxes, the study of high-temperature materials. A method for determining the heat flux to an object is proposed, which consists in measuring the surface temperature of the object, including measuring the average temperature of the receiving and return surface over the area. According to the claimed method, the object is heat-insulated by installing it on a thin rod made of thermal insulation material. The distribution of the brightness temperature is obtained by dividing each surface of the object into microscopic areas and determining the distribution of the brightness temperature for all microscopic areas of the object's surface. The heat flux is defined as the sum of the heat fluxes of microscopic areas. The use of the proposed method for determining the heat flux to the object of high-temperature tests made it possible to study sixty samples of new materials (in the form of disks, blunted cones, plates, hemispheres) and three structural elements of high-speed aircraft with thin edges at temperatures up to 3500 K, to determine the heat flux to the samples of materials and structural elements, their catalytic activity.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determining the heat flux.
