FIELD: medicine; dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for prediction of caries intensity in young patients with undifferentiated forms of connective tissue dysplasia. Phenotypic signs of connective tissue dysplasia are detected and evaluated and each detected feature is assigned a diagnostic coefficient in accordance with table 1 presented in the description. Then the value of expected indices of DMF (decay-missing-filled) and CIL (caries intensity level) is determined by the specified formulas. If the expected DMF index is 6.3–12.7 and the expected CIL index is 0.15–0.30, the average intensity of dental caries is predicted. If the expected DMF index is 12.8–16.2 and the expected CIL index is 0.31–0.6, high intensity of dental caries is predicted. If the expected DMF index is more than 16.2 and the expected CIL index is more than 0.6, a very high intensity of dental caries is predicted.
EFFECT: method enables individualizing the complex of preventive and therapeutic measures for caries in young patients with undifferentiated forms of connective tissue dysplasia by assessing the set of the most significant indicators.
