FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Ultrathin endothelial corneal graft is prepared for posterior layer-by-layer keratoplasty by means of a femtosecond laser operating at frequency of 200 kHz. Laser pulse energy 0.5 mcJ is used, the distance between points is 4 mcm, and the distance between rows is 4 mcm, after which the cornea is centred and applanated. Further, the cornea is sectioned; the first section is made in the lamellar plane at depth of 120 mcm from the endothelium, while the second section is cut vertically from depth of 140 mcm upwards towards the endothelium so that the vertical section overlaps the plane of the lamellar section by 20 mcm. Corneal graft diameter is specified based on recipient corneal parameters from 6.0 to 9.5 mm.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain a thinner graft with a minimum number of residual bridges.
