FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for finishing of external cylindrical surfaces of parts in large-scale and mass production. Method of turning finishing hardening of a part includes turning performed by a cutter with a front surface located at a negative rake angle, at that, turning is carried out simultaneously with a series-arranged cutter having a cleaning cutting edge installed parallel to the movement of the longitudinal feed of the lathe support, and adjusted to the cutting depth equal to the distance from the surface processed by the deforming cutter to the maximum value of the residual compressive stresses in the surface layer of the part. Machining is performed with deforming cutter deformation force stabilization.
EFFECT: improving the quality of manufacturing parts.
