FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to operation of fire equipment, namely to a method for insulation of hose branching in conditions of low temperatures, a device for its implementation and a heat-insulating cover of such a device. Group of inventions can be used to extinguish fires in winter time as a means of ensuring uninterrupted operation of fire equipment, in particular, branches. Method of hose branching insulation in conditions of low temperatures consists in the fact that a removable heat-insulating cover is made for installation in it of branching of sleeve line with possibility of connection to branching of main and discharge hose lines. Said cover is used as the main insulation means. Cover is made with a flexible body of layers of fabric and insulation with a shape that repeats the shape of the branching, and with a connector in the upper part along the contour line of the valve flywheels. Through said connector branching is installed in cover, and connector is closed by means of textile fasteners in the form of "Velcro" along connector contour, at the same time shaped parts of branching valves are covered with sides of connector, and flywheels of branching valves are left outside to control water flow rate. For additional insulation of branching at low temperatures heated air is supplied inside the cover from a vortex Ranque-Hilsch tube, which operates from a compressor, and for insulation of flywheels of valves at low temperatures, a heat-insulating pad covering them is additionally used.

EFFECT: providing uninterrupted operation of fire equipment, creating a heat-insulating structure of a removable cover, as the main means of branch insulation, which is heated by heated air from a Ranque-Hilsch tube and which enables to ensure reliable operation of the hose branching during fire extinguishing in winter.
