FIELD: transport construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport construction and is intended for removal of permafrost water and water from permafrost soils from engineering structures (roads and railways, airfields), preferably in permafrost areas. Drainage ditch includes a trench with a design slope, the bottom and walls of which are reinforced with a layer of waterproof material. Contains at least one through cut made in the layer of waterproof material along the transverse profile of the trench, through which a piece of web of additional waterproof material is passed, front edge of which is brought out above the main layer of waterproof material in the direction of the trench slope and is tightly connected to it, and the rear edge is brought under the main layer of waterproof material in the direction opposite to the trench slope and is rigidly fixed on the soil base of the trench.

EFFECT: improving operational reliability of the drainage ditch and increasing its service life, as well as preventing soaking of base soils and permafrost degradation.
