FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to oncology and X-ray diagnostics, and can be used for diagnostics of malignant neoplasms of mammary gland. Computed tomography (CT) without contrast is performed, followed by CT-angiography (CT-A) with a two-phase protocol of bolus administration of iohexol at rate of 1 ml per 1 kg of patient’s weight at rate of 3.5 ml/s and 40 ml of normal saline. Scanning is performed in the arterial phase at 25 seconds from the moment of the intravenous bolus introduction of iohexol and in the parenchymal phase at 70 seconds after the intravenous bolus introduction of iohexol. Obtained images are used to construct 3D model of the mammary gland using a VRT reconstruction algorithm. If observing the blood vessels feeding neoplasm on 3D model of the mammary gland, a malignant neoplasm of the mammary gland is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides early non-invasive diagnosis of breast new growths and higher diagnostic accuracy due to detection of blood vessels feeding the new growth on 3D model of the mammary gland.
