METHOD FOR PERFUSION COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY OF LUNGS IN DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF CONSOLIDATED PULMONARY TISSUE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B6/03 A61B5/26

Abstract RU 2825590 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to roentgenology, oncology, pulmonology, thoracic surgery, and can be used for differential diagnosis of consolidated pulmonary tissue. Perfusion computed tomography (PCT) is performed according to low-dose scanning protocol: X-ray tube voltage is 100 kV with current intensity 200 mA, tube rotation time is 0.6 sec, thickness of separated section is 5 mm. Sections for subsequent lung perfusion scanning are marked on native images: the initial scanning section corresponds to the section of the beginning of the zone of interest, the final section corresponds to the level of its end. Blood flow velocity (BF), blood flow volume (BV), mean time of blood flow (MTT), vascular permeability (PS), time to peak (TTP) are determined on the obtained perfusion maps. If values BF 82.94±15.7 ml/100 g/min; BV 6.80±2.6 ml/100 g; PS 21.51±4.8 ml/100g/min; MTT 4.67±3.6 s; TTP 34.07±5.3 s, consolidation of pulmonary tissue of benign aetiology is diagnosed. If values BF 164.61±21.9 ml/100 g/min; BV 57.33±8.3 ml/100 g; PS -34.88±7.3 ml/100 g/min MTT – 12.56±4.2 s; TTP – 22.32±4.4 s, consolidation areas of malignant aetiology are diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides higher diagnostic accuracy by obtaining PCT values in pathologically changed areas of the lung of benign and malignant aetiology.
