FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology. 24-hour Holter ECG monitoring is assessed. Following parameters are identified: sex, number of atrial and atrioventricular supraventricular extrasystoles, number of single and paired ventricular extrasystoles, allorrhythmias in ventricular extrasystoles, as well as presence or absence of P-type extrasystoles on T. Obtained data are entered into the equation for calculating the probability of the onset of paroxysmal AF (Pr). And at Pr ≥ 0.5 – high risk of developing paroxysmal atrial fibrillation; and if Pr < 0.5, a low risk of developing paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
EFFECT: method enables to predict atrial fibrillation with high accuracy by using highly specific and highly sensitive prediction parameters.
