SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for determining deformability of a base from a weak soil reinforced with vertical elements, which includes loading a soil sample with a central reinforcing element with a vertical load using a stamp and measuring soil parameters, from which the deformability of the base is determined, where uniaxial compression of soil sample is performed by a stamp with central reinforcing element and surrounding reinforcing elements in one row on each side, determining the impact zone of the central reinforcing element of the restricted section of the reinforced soil massif, the area of the stamp is selected close to this area, and the reliable value of the deformation modulus of the reinforced massif is determined taking into account the correction coefficient to the results of stamping tests.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the efficiency of determining the deformation characteristics of the reinforced soil with the possibility of obtaining the deformation modulus of the entire reinforced soil massif, based on the reinforced soil deformation modulus according to the results of the stamping test of the soil sample with a central reinforcing element, at which the area of the stamp is assigned approximately to the area of the impact zone of the central reinforcing element.
