FIELD: deformation measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the determination of the characteristics of the deformability of soils with a stamp during engineering surveys in construction. The method for determining the soil deformation modulus with a stamp includes loading the soil in the pit with pressure at the stamp foot in steps with maintaining each step until conditional stabilization of the soil deformation, stamp settlement, plotting the dependence of the stamp settlement on pressure and calculating the deformation modulus. Additionally, the reactive pressures of the soil on the sole of the stamp are determined, and the deformation modulus is determined by the formula where Δ pi is the increment of the reactive pressure of the soil on the sole of the stamp at the i-th point, kPa; n is the number of points on the sole of the stamp, which measure the reactive pressure of the soil; Ei is the i-th modulus of soil deformation, kPa, determined by the formula where D is half the diameter of the stamp, cm; ri and αi is the polar coordinates, cm, degree; β is the angle of rotation of the stamp relative to the horizon, radians; ΔS is the increment of the average settlement of the stamp, cm.
EFFECT: determination of the soil deformation modulus taking into account the nature of the distribution of the reactive pressure of the soil on the sole of the stamp, increasing the reliability and accuracy of determining the deformation modulus.
