FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: declared group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a method for personalized control of operation of a vacuum device of a lower limb prosthesis and a device for its implementation. A method for personalized control of the vacuum device of the lower extremity prosthesis, in which the vacuum pressure is adjusted depending on the mode of using the prosthesis. Before starting the vacuum device, the stump end pressure on the prosthesis sleeve is determined and the obtained data is used to set the pressure range in the walking mode so that the lower limit of the range is equal to or differs from the measured stump end pressure on the prosthesis sleeve in a standing position by no more than 5 kPa, and the upper limit was equal to or differed by no more than 5 kPa from the measured stump end pressure on the prosthesis sleeve during the single-support step phase. After that, in walking mode, pressure is raised from the lower limit of the range to the upper one for 2-40 s and then the pressure is reduced for 4-8 minutes to the lower limit of the range. When in a sitting position, a sitting mode is activated. Vacuum device of the lower extremity prosthesis, intended for use in the method, in which before the vacuum device operation, the stump end pressure on the prosthesis sleeve is determined and according to the obtained data, the pressure range in the walking mode is set so that the lower limit of the range is equal to or differs by no more than 5 kPa from the measured pressure of the end of the stump on the prosthesis sleeve in a standing position, and the upper limit was equal to or differed by no more than 5 kPa from the measured stump end pressure on the prosthesis sleeve during the single-support step phase. After that, in walking mode, pressure is raised from the lower limit of the range to the upper one for 2-40 s and then the pressure is reduced for 4-8 minutes to the lower limit of the range. When in a sitting position, a sitting mode is activated. Device includes a housing for installation in the end of the receiving sleeve of the prosthesis, made in the form of a truncated cone, an electronic control module, a vacuum pump, an electromagnetic valve mounted in the side surface of the housing, a mains connector, a storage battery, an electronic atmospheric pressure sensor, an inlet and an outlet, a module for measuring the pressure of the end of the stump on the receiving sleeve of the prosthesis. A strain gauge located on the surface of the inner side of the sleeve in the centre is used as a module for measuring the pressure of the stump on the prosthesis.
EFFECT: reduced negative effects on the stump of the lower extremity associated with the use of a vacuum attachment of the prosthesis, with simultaneous provision of the possibility of long-term operation of the vacuum device.
