FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for semantic analysis in video and audio. Technical result is achieved due to a method for software processing of video content using semantic analysis, which uses technologies for semantic analysis in video and audio, highlighting key meanings. Method performs frame-by-frame video analysis and systematic calculation of the spatial-temporal significance of each face image for each object in the considered video, wherein the significance is determined by the vector representation of the spatial characteristic of the face, which reflects the size of the face region relative to the frame, and a vector representation of the temporal characteristic of the face image describing the duration of displaying the analysed face image in successive video frames and automatic selection of key words and phrases most relevant to video content by using algorithms to determine the most effective key words based on their popularity and use in similar contexts.
EFFECT: high efficiency of managing memory of the device, preventing overloading of the computing device.
