FIELD: digital image processing; computer vision.
SUBSTANCE: method of detecting image fragments, the specific visual properties of which are characterized by high-frequency intensity fluctuations, based on the conversion of the original image to a binary image, wherein as a quantitative indicator of intensity oscillations on different sections of the binary image, a two-dimensional function is used, which determines the total number of intensity jumps "black-white" and "white-black" along Cartesian coordinate axes in the vicinity of each pixel of the binary image, sequentially normalized in grayscale to a single-byte intensity range from 0 to 255 and transformed into a binary image, white areas on a black background of which cover the locations of fragments with spatial high-frequency oscillations of intensity.
EFFECT: providing simple and accurate selection of image fragments.
