FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: gear wheel includes gear rim from composite material with heat removal recess made from teeth at minimum possible distance, but not closer to such distance, at which concentration of bending stresses in tooth base does not increase in comparison with the same wheel without recess. Wheel is made as assembled, the gear rim of which is put on a metal coaxial hub, which is equipped from the outside in the middle part with an annular projection and is fixed against turning at high loads relative to the gear rim by means of bolts installed evenly along the perimeter on both sides at the junction of the gear rim and the hub. Heat-removing recess is made annular inside with possibility of interaction with annular projection of hub for heat removal along its body.

EFFECT: increased strength of gear wheel and accelerated heat removal from gear rim.
