SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine building. Method of gear wheel manufacturing includes separate manufacturing of hub and toothed rim with their further assembly, at that hub is made in form of cylindrical disc. On flat part of gear rim holes are made together with hub, at least two holes per section, after which, with pins installed in holes, gear rim is cut into sections, then sections are dismantled and teeth are made on toothed rim on each section separately, then each section is installed on pins on hub, rigidly fixed by means of screws.

EFFECT: improved reliability and simplified design of gear wheel.
