SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for determining class A (IgA) antibodies to poliovirus (types 1–3) in human saliva samples by enzyme immunoassay (EIA), wherein the immunosorbent used is a poliovirus antigen purified to the level of virions, to determine the level of mucosal immunity to this virus.
EFFECT: invention provides a simple and effective method of determining class A (IgA) antibodies against poliovirus for bloodless diagnosis in order to assess the level of population mucosal immunity, sampling for implementation of the method is painless; the method is characterized by the absence of possible non-specific interactions.
