FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for treating hallux valgus. Summary of the invention: performing an oblique osteotomy of the primary phalanx from the lateral side so that the medial cortical layer remains intact. Bone fragments are mechanically separated. A bone graft obtained after osteotomy of the first metatarsal bone is placed in the formed defect, thereby restoring the axis of the first toe. Fixation of the osteotomy fragments is not required due to tension in the intact medial cortical layer. Then the wounds are sutured in layers.
EFFECT: method provides achieving compression between fragments of the main phalanx without osteosynthesis, eliminates external immobilization in the postoperative period, reduces the risk of bone infection, accelerates adhesion, enables early functional treatment and reduces the rehabilitation period by creating tension in the intact medial cortical layer.
