SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to generation of inhaled aerosols by heating aerosol-forming liquids. Aerosol-generating article for use with an aerosol-generating device comprises a liquid reservoir for storing an aerosol-forming liquid, sealing element made with possibility of reversible movement between open configuration and closed configuration, for example, to open or tightly close the outlet of the reservoir, respectively, and a drive member operably connected to the sealing member for moving the sealing member from at least a closed configuration to an open configuration. Driving element is a heat driven element containing bimetal or shape memory material, or drive element is made with possibility of actuation by magnetic forces and contains permanent magnet, or ferromagnetic or ferrimagnetic element, or drive element is made with possibility of actuation by mechanical contact.
EFFECT: longer service life of the product after its opening due to possibility of preservation of unspent liquid without its change or contamination until further consumption.
