SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cartridge of a rod-shaped aerosol-generating article for use with an aerosol-generating device with induction heating to an aerosol-generating article and containing such a cartridge. Cartridge comprises an evaporation chamber in the far end of the cartridge for evaporation of an aerosol-forming liquid therein, wherein evaporation chamber comprises at least one air inlet. Cartridge additionally contains a chamber-reservoir near the evaporation chamber for storage of the aerosol-forming liquid. In addition, the cartridge comprises a liquid-carrying current collector (susceptor), which is configured and arranged so as to transfer the aerosol-forming liquid from the reservoir chamber to the evaporation chamber, as well as inductively heated when used with a device for evaporating a liquid forming an aerosol inside the evaporation chamber. In addition, the cartridge has a vapor transfer channel providing fluid communication for the evaporated liquid forming an aerosol from the evaporation chamber to the area near the chamber-reservoir. With the exception of at least one air inlet and fluid communication from the evaporation chamber to the area near the reservoir chamber, the evaporation chamber is completely closed by elements in the form of a wall, wherein any element in form of evaporation chamber wall is not inductively heated.

EFFECT: versatility of use with different types of articles to generate aerosols from different types of aerosol-forming substrates, particularly solid and liquid substrates.
