METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF SEVERE CLINICAL COURSE OF COVID-19 Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/49 G01N33/50

Abstract RU 2829891 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to infectious diseases and therapy, and can be used for prediction of severe clinical course of COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus. Patient is examined for the presence of obesity and its degree; a clinical and biochemical blood test is carried out to determine the level of leukocytes in the blood, the concentration of C-reactive protein and aspartate aminotransferase in the blood serum. Blood ferritin concentration is determined by immunoturbidimetry. Further, the probability of a severe course of COVID-19 is calculated by the formula, and with values of P greater than or equal to 25.82%, a high risk of a severe course of COVID-19 is determined, and with values of P<25.82%, low risk of severe course of COVID-19 is determined.

EFFECT: method enables early prediction of the severe clinical course of COVID-19 by assessing the complex of the most significant indicators.
