FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to infectious diseases and therapy, and can be used to predict the severity of COVID-19 disease in adults. A clinical blood test is carried out in the patient and the level of leukocytes is determined. Bacteriological examination of faeces is carried out and compliance with normal level of bacteria Clostridium spp., Lactobacillus spp., Staphylococcus hominis and Enterococcus faecium is determined. Based on the obtained data, probabilities of mild, moderate and severe severity of COVID-19 are determined by given formulas.
EFFECT: method enables well-timed determination of the algorithm of managing the patient with COVID-19 due to the possibility of predicting the mild, moderate and severe clinical course of the disease by assessing the set of the most significant values.
