FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in dies for production of parts of complex profile. Matrix contains a body and an insert pressed into the body with an interference fit with a variable height of the insert. Variable preload Δ is selected from the expression: Δ=Δ1−Δ2, where Δ1 is interference between mating surfaces of the insert and the housing on the side of the matrix mirror, Δ2 is an interference fit between mating surfaces of the insert and the housing on the side of the matrix end, opposite to the matrix mirror. Inner surface of the housing is cylindrical. Outer surface of the insert consists of cylindrical and conical surfaces crossing each other along the length of the matrix.
EFFECT: as a result, higher cyclic durability and strength of the matrix is provided.
