FIELD: paper.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of environment and chemical technology during production of paper and can be used for improvement of properties of paper sheet at the stage of wood pulp grinding or as coating of paper sheet surface. Method of producing material for filling and modifying wood pulp in paper production involves obtaining calcium carbonate with lithium carbonate as a finished product by simultaneous saturation of calcium hydroxide and lithium hydroxide with carbon dioxide in water. Preliminary, acid mine water of sulphate class containing ions of heavy metals, sulphate and lithium is treated with calcium-containing reagent Ca(OH)2 at pH 13-14 to obtain a precipitate of heavy metal compounds. Precipitate is removed from the water. Then, water containing lithium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide is treated with carbon dioxide to pH 9-10 to form a finished product in form of calcium carbonate modified with lithium carbonate.
EFFECT: simplification of the method for obtaining material for volumetric and surface year-round filling and modification of wood pulp when obtaining a paper composite with improved performance properties.
