FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to sorption separation of gases, specifically to chemical absorbers of carbon dioxide. Disclosed is an absorber for removal of carbon dioxide from gas mixtures, which is a granular sorbent, containing, wt %: LiOH 74–82; LiCl 2.2–2.5; polyethylene oxide 0.5–10; carboxymethyl cellulose 0.5–10; water 5; the rest is Ca(OH)2. Disclosed are two versions of the method of preparing the claimed absorber. Disclosed also is a method of removing carbon dioxide from gas mixtures, carried out in temperature range of 10–70 °C using obtained absorber.
EFFECT: high and stable sorption capacity, high strength of absorber granules, absence of dust and longer protective action.
