FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composition of polymer material used in food and petrochemical industry as an insulating membrane. Insulating membrane includes a multilayer polymer composition for use in a package for sealing the container neck, in which a layer of modified foamed polyethylene is used. Total thickness of the insulating membrane is from 0.6 mm to 1.5 mm, thickness error is permissible ±10%. Thickness of foamed polyethylene layers coated on both sides with a polypropylene film cannot exceed 1.27 mm, thickness error is permissible ±2%, wherein density of layer of foamed polyethylene from 200 kg/m3 to 600 kg/m3 depending on thickness of layer.
EFFECT: creation of an insulating membrane from modified foamed polyethylene used in packaging for food and petrochemical products.
