FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cardiovascular surgery and oncology. Circulatory visceral arrest is performed by connecting an artificial circulation according to the IVC—superior vena cava—ascending aorta scheme. General protective hypothermia is created by cooling patient to 28–29 °C. Descending aorta is occluded in the inferior thoracic region immediately above the diaphragm. Radical thrombectomy from the IVC system is performed throughout its length.
EFFECT: method enables reducing a risk of developing intraoperative and postoperative complications by eliminating total circulatory arrest with ensuing negative postischemic consequences.
