FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods and systems for determining catalytic activity. Disclosed is a method of determining catalytic activity of an activated chemically treated solid oxide, wherein the method involves the following: (i) combining a sample of the activated chemically treated solid oxide with a solution of a color indicator compound to obtain a treated solid base; (ii) measuring the color of the treated solid base and (iii) generating a color index of the treated solid base and correlating the color index with a standard for determining catalytic activity of the activated chemically treated solid oxide. Also disclosed is a method of producing a catalyst composition, a method of operating a polymerisation reactor system, a polymerisation reactor system and a catalyst production system.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables to evaluate the catalytic activity of a chemically treated solid oxide without carrying out a polymerisation reaction.
