SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to X-ray diagnostics, paediatric surgery and vascular surgery, and can be used to determine the degree of celiac trunk stenosis in case of its compression from outside. It involves polypositional ultrasonic scanning and colour Doppler mapping of the abdominal aorta. Celiac trunk diameter is measured at the levels of trifurcation, maximum diameter of the trunk, orifice of the trunk, minimum diameter of the trunk, and the percentage of stenosis is calculated by the formula: (A1+A2)-(B1+B2)/(A1+A2)×100%, where A1 is the trunk diameter at the trifurcation level; A2 is the maximum diameter of the trunk; B1 is the diameter of the trunk in the area of the orifice; B2 is the minimum diameter of the trunk.

EFFECT: method enables increasing the accuracy of estimating the degree of celiac trunk stenosis when compressed from the outside by calculating the percentage of celiac trunk stenosis in several places.
