SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to functional diagnostics, and can be used to assess the topography and patency of the dorsal pancreatic artery in patients before pancreatic surgery. To do this, ultrasound duplex angioscanning is performed. First, the study is carried out in the patient’s supine position, while the convex transducer is installed in the epigastric region in a transverse position relative to the median line of the abdomen at an angle of 80-90° relative to its surface. Then, in the B-mode and the color Doppler mapping mode, the bifurcation of the abdominal trunk, the splenic and hepatic arteries are identified. Next, the patient is asked to take a deep breath, and the transducer is installed parallel to the left costal arch from the level of the xiphoid process, at an angle of 30-40° relative to the surface of the abdomen. In the mode of energy Doppler mapping, a section of the dorsal pancreatic artery is visualized.

EFFECT: method provides an accurate determination of the level of transposition and patency of the dorsal pancreatic artery.
