METHOD OF GENERATING PICOSECOND PULSES AND LASER FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC H01S3/67

Abstract RU 2834265 C1

FIELD: laser equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser engineering, namely to pulsed picosecond fibre lasers. To implement the method of generating picosecond pulses, the laser is automatically triggered: monotonous increase in power is monitored at the output for monitoring output power in continuous generation mode with a corresponding increase in the pumping power level after switching on; first level of pumping power is fixed, when monotonous increase of output power in continuous generation mode is disturbed and its abrupt increase follows; pumping power level is monotonously reduced, until generation is stopped, all pumping power levels are fixed, where there is an abrupt increase in output power at the output for its control; pumping power level is increased to the first level and reduced to the average pumping power level, which took place in the already known penultimate section of monotonous decrease of pumping power, on which the single-pulse generation mode takes place.

EFFECT: passive support of polarization, low threshold of generation excitation, stable linearly polarized radiation of picosecond pulses.
